… things to help you suceed

New Look

The new look is for the new focus of this blog. We’re studying Macbeth, so I thought I needed a bit more darkness and blood. I’ll be using this blog so that you can access extra help at home and ask questions.

Here is a Wordle I did of Lady Macbeth’s madness:

Macbeth wordle

This wordle is based on the Top 100 words in Macbeth – visualised in Wordle.net

What does this say about the content of the play?

You will need to create your own wordle using a key scene or speech and see what you come up with.

Macbeth – hiphop style (watch before you judge, people!)

Good Luck with Your SAC!

I hope that you’re all ready to go.

Remember to write your statement of purpose first.

Don’t forget spelling and punctuation. I’ve already seen half a dozen errors in your sites!

Finally, please let me know if I can add your site to my links. This will mean that other students and teachers could read it. I won’t put yours on if you don’t want me to. Just comment me to let me know that you want to be added!

A message to Year 11 English

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blog! This is where I’m going to post information about our unit on The Baghdad Blog so that you can access it outside of class time and where you can post comments and ask questions.

Once you have read the book, your next task is to create your own blog using this site. If you click on this link: http://edublogs.org/wp-signup.php, it will take you straight to the sign up page.

Make sure you choose “student” as the type of blog you are creating. You will need an email account to create the blog, but after that you can access on line.

Once you have created your blog account, take some time to play around with the settings. Along the top of your page are a whole lot of options, starting with “Dashboard”. If you click on Presentation, you can choose the design you want for your page. “Write” is where you can post your first entry.

This is the blog you will use for your SAC, so please keep it respectable!

Once you have created your blog, post a comment here with the web address and then I can add you in my blogroll.

Welcome to my blog…

Not sure what this will be about, but here it is anyway.

 ENJOY!
